Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year!
This is my fifth year teaching at Sullivan and I have been in the district for over 10 years. I have taught several grades ranging from 3rd-8th and have grown to love middle school students!
I got my degree in education and social sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (and yes, I am a Packer fan!).
Outside of school I spend most of my time with my two children who are 7 and 3 years old! I also love to cook, garden and spend time with family and friends.
This year I am teaching 7th and 8th grade U.S. History. Since I am part of a laptop pilot for middle school students, we are lucky enough to have a class set of laptops in the classroom. We will regularly incoporate technology into daily lessons and projects.
Both 7th and 8th graders will be participating in History Day! The theme for this year is "Revolution, Reaction and Reform". Information about the theme can be found on the NHD website http://www.nhd.org and a calendar of due dates will be posted in the future! Start thinking about topic ideas!
