Native American Family Day 2008

K-5 students celebrated Native American Family Day, November 20, 2008, with an assembly featuring a Bald Eagle, Falcon, Great Northern Owl, and Red Tail Hawk from the Raptor Center and student performances by kindergarten, first and fifth graders. 
Raptor Center
Charlie from the Raptor Center showed four birds, a Red Tail Hawk, Falcon, Great Horned Owl and Bald Eagle, which has special significance in Native culture.
Student Performances
Under the direction of Mr. Mike, the drama teacher, Kindergartners performed a scarf dance while fifth graders sang. First graders performed a hoop dance.
