Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year in the primary CLASS (Coordinated Learning for Social Success) program. We are located on the second floor in room 219. I am so excited to have your child in our classroom this year.
My name is Alicia Hempel and I am the classroom teacher. I am licensed in special education learning disabilities and elementary education. I started teaching in 2000. I am originally from Illinois. I moved to Minnesota in 2008. I have taught in Illinois, Wisconsin, California, Minnesota, and China. I have traveled to over 20 different countries. I've been at Anne Sullivan School since 2010.
Carrie Jacobson is our classroom's full time SEA. She is also a licensed elementary teacher. Carrie is originally from Minneapolis and has been with the district since 2000. Carrie has also taught for Seattle Public Schools.
Other adults that work in our classroom are Cheryl Stein (Speech and Language), Paula Nelson (Social Worker), and Julie Hurtubise (Occupational Therapist)
