Welcome :)

I am excited to begin my 30th year of teaching! Starting my 5th year at Sullivan as a Science Specialist teaching students in grades Hi-5 thru 4th.

I began teaching in Minneapolis Public Schools in 1994. I have taught at Bancroft, Green Central, Lake Harriet, and Lucy Laney in grades Hi-5 thru 8th. During the 2006-2007 school year I was the Teacher in Residence at the Bakken Science Museum.

Prior to moving to Minneapolis, MN. I taught Middle School Math and Science in Milwaukee Public Schools from 1985-1994. I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer on the Islands of St. Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies from 1982-1985. I love to travel to different parts of the U.S. and around the world. My favorite activity is to go to different Zoo's and Science Museums. Some of the websites are places that I have visited.

I believe Science is everywhere and teach to that philosophy. I use the FOSS and STC kits supplied by our district. This is an inquiry based science curriculum that provides hands-on experiences to communicate through conversations, reading and writing. I will see each group of students for 55 minutes a week. You are welcome to join us in our explorations any time.

peace, Deb Bahl-Moore
